Denton - Unicorn Lake

Denton is the home of a master-planned mixed-use development, 1.83 acres at Market Square at Unicorn Lake. Unicorn Lake is a master-planned community in Denton, designed as a pedestrian-friendly environment.  More than 50 residential neighborhoods with over 17,000 housing units are just a short walk or drive to Unicorn Lake. Businesses and residents surrounding Unicorn Lake have immediate access to IH 35E.  Unicorn Lake is home to a Cinemark Theater, hotels, restaurants, offices, and more than 20 medical facilities.

NCTCOG funded $883,092 through the 2001 Land Use Transportation Joint Venture projects with a $220,773 local match from the City of Denton for street construction, pedestrian amenities, and landscaping to support the mixed-use development.
