Notes: Congressman Michael Burgess is holding his annual Emergency Preparedness Summit & Fair on Saturday morning, April 28th in Little Elm. Our office is partnering with Little Elm ISD, the Town of Little Elm and Denton County Emergency Services to host this annual public education event that will help North Texans be better prepared for rough weather and unforeseen natural and man-made disasters that may impact our region.

At this free public event, families can tour indoor and outdoor exhibits/vehicles providing emergency and disaster preparedness resources and make & takes as well as view live safety demonstrations. There will be a “Kid Safety Zone” with activities geared to children that will engage the whole family in becoming prepared for any type of emergency situation. The event will open to the public at 8:00 am with access to the fair, and presentations will beginning at 8:30 am; the event will conclude at 12:00 Noon. Our mission for this event is to #PrepareNTX!
