Because of safety concerns, the sampling crew could not correct the malfunction in the field due to fast flowing waters, making it unsafe. Stream stage was observed by the sampling crew to have risen at 1.5 inches above its initial height during the sampling routine. An additional aliquot is shown on the graph due to initializing the automatic sampler twice but was not collected.
